Reddy, Chief Engineer of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). The directive, issued by the Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MAUD) department, applies to all retired employees working on a contract or outsourcing basis in state-level offices, corporations, and boards. Departments requiring the services of these officers must obtain fresh orders and provide justification for their continued employment. This move affects a significant number of retired personnel, including 63 from HMDA and 45 from GHMC, and aims to streamline the government's workforce by replacing retired staff with fresh talent.
