Swathi Nelabhatla, founder of the SITHA App and SheJobs, shared her vision for the platform, emphasizing the need for financial independence and flexibility for women across the country. “SITHA is more than an app and it’s a movement,” she said. “We are creating a world where no woman has to choose between her career and her family. Our goal is to make every woman financially independent by turning her skills into a livelihood.”

Minister Sridhar Babu praised the effort, calling it a significant step toward gender equality and economic inclusion. “It is a privilege to launch the SITHA App alongside so many women who are change-makers,” he said. “To progress as a society, we must empower women and ensure they are not forced to choose between their dreams and duties. Let us rise, break barriers, and lead.”

SITHA is a mobile application designed to serve as a women-only gig marketplace. The platform connects skilled women to a wide range of earning opportunities, from home-based and community services to digital consulting and artisanal work. It focuses on sectors such as health and wellness, home and lifestyle services, technology, education, event planning, and cultural gigs.

The app offers structured onboarding, AI-powered gig matching, secure payments, and ongoing support for skill-building. Built with a “woman-first” approach, it seeks to provide a dignified and flexible working environment for women who have often been left out of traditional employment due to career breaks, personal responsibilities, or rigid work formats.

SITHA aims to empower one million women entrepreneurs by 2027 by making skill-based and meaningful work accessible to women across urban and rural India. More information about the app is available at www.sithaapp.com.

Swathi Nelabhatla, the founder of SITHA, brings over a decade of experience in operations, sales, and business development. She is widely recognized for her work in promoting women's employment through her earlier venture, SheJobs. Her efforts in building inclusive ecosystems have earned her recognition in leadership and diversity forums in India and abroad.
