Tellapur residents protest delayed completion of RR-30 Extension Road
Over 300 residents of Tellapur, Hyderabad, protested on March 2, 2025, demanding immediate action on the dilapidated RR-30 Extension Road. The road, neglected for over a decade, is riddled with potholes and dust due to heavy truck traffic, causing frustration and safety concerns. Residents, including young children and senior citizens, cleaned the road and filled potholes to highlight their grievances. They claim their concerns have been ignored despite paying taxes, and the road's poor condition has led to accidents and deaths. The ongoing construction activity, which is worsening the road's condition, is also causing severe dust pollution and respiratory issues. The Tellapur Neighbourhood Association (TeNA) president, Ramana Eshwaragari, called for specific hours for heavy truck movement and highlighted the need for road repairs and development. The protestors presented a memorandum to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, urging immediate action on the long-delayed project.09:32 AM Mar 03, 2025 IST
