Death of cat in Chevella leads to police complaints; Probe underway
A five-month-old cat died after receiving treatment at a government veterinary hospital in Chevella, leading to a police investigation. The cat's owner, Fauzia Begum, accuses the hospital staff of negligence, claiming her cat died after receiving an injection and medication. She and her son, Akbar, filed a complaint against the staff. The veterinary doctor, Dr. Tirupati Reddy, maintains that the staff did their best but the cat was in poor health. Devender Nattala, a contract worker who treated the cat, filed a counter-complaint alleging assault by Fauzia Begum and Akbar.
