Hyderabad: Depressed about ‘not getting married’, doctor ends life by jumping in front of running train
Two tragic incidents involving suicide were reported in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. A 34-year-old doctor, Purohit Kishore Prakashmal, jumped in front of a train between Cavalry Barracks and Bolarum railway stations. He was reportedly depressed after facing multiple rejections in marriage proposals due to his baldness, including a recent engagement break-up. In a separate incident, a 32-year-old woman, Sabita Rai, committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Narsingi following a fight with her husband. Both incidents highlight the devastating impact of depression and the importance of seeking support when facing personal struggles. Police are investigating both cases.07:38 PM Mar 27, 2025 IST
