Hyderabad Jewellery heist: Two more arrested in Khazana robbery case
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police arrested two more accused in connection with the ongoing investigation into the broad daylight robbery of Khazana Jewellers, Chandanagar, on Saturday.
Going further into details, on 12 August, six unidentified armed offenders entered Khazana Jewellers, Chandanagar. They opened fire at the Deputy Manager, injuring his left knee, and looted around 10 kgs of silver articles that were gold-coloured. Chanda Nagar Police booked a case and started the investigation.
In this connection, two accused, namely Aashish Kumar Singh and Deepak Kumar Sah, were arrested on 15 August at Jejuri, Pune, and Hyderabad respectively. At the confession of the accused, (900) grams of looted silver articles were recovered.
Further, two more accused, namely Anish Kumar Singh and Prince Kumar Rajak, were arrested on 19.08.2025 at Pimpri, Pune. At their confession, the accused recovered (1,015) grams of looted silver articles and one country-made firearm.
Apart from the above, two more prime accused, namely Prince Kumar Bharati (gang leader) and Rohit Kumar Rajak aka Rohit Baitha (who fired the weapon), were also arrested on 22.08.2025 at Ankleshwar, Gujarat. The accused have informed that they have hidden a weapon and some of the stolen ornaments, which will be recovered after taking police custody.
The accused involved in this case have a previous criminal history and are habitual offenders. The investigation is continuing to trace out and apprehend the remaining three accused and to recover the remaining property, said Cyberabad Commissioner Avinash Mohanthy.

The management of jewellery shops is advised to have adequate security mechanisms during operational hours and to have an intrusion alarm panel at their establishment and at the nearest police station to thwart such incidents.
