A Nigerian national, Ikechukwu Sylvester Mbah, was deported from Hyderabad, India, for overstaying his visa and alleged involvement in drug activities. He was apprehended in Hyderabad after failing to provide valid documents. He had initially entered India on a business visa in 2012 but was imprisoned in 2019 for violating the Passport Act. While he denied involvement in drug activities, reports suggest he may have been associated with drug suppliers and peddlers in Navi Mumbai. After completing legal procedures, he was deported to Nigeria by the Hyderabad City Police to prevent further illegal activity. The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity related to drug abuse.
