Residents demand action on water, streetlight issues in Tolichowki
Hyderabad: Residents of Tolichowki and Langar Houz have raised concerns over several ongoing issues in their areas, including water leakage, non-functioning streetlights, and haphazard parking. These problems have been persisting for a long time, prompting residents to seek immediate attention from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).

The issues were highlighted by a local resident on X (formerly Twitter), who shared, “#tolichowki #langarhouse. Drinking water leakage, lack of streetlights, and parking vehicles everywhere on the road are common sights. One specific issue mentioned was the non-functioning streetlights on Tolichowki Road, particularly towards the Shaikpet flyover, where the lights are not operational.
In response, GHMC stated that the issue of non-functioning streetlights had been forwarded to the concerned team for action. They assured the public that the matter would be taken care of quickly.

HMWSSB also acknowledged the complaint of water leakage and requested further details, asking the resident to provide the location of the main area or a nearby landmark along with contact information. The resident provided the location as "Tanishq Wines, Langar House."
One user, commenting on the post, remarked, “Same situation throughout Hyderabad,” highlighting the widespread nature of such issues in the city.
