Metro ride: RGIA to Future City in just 40 minutes, says NVS Reddy
Hyderabad Metro Rail officials, led by Managing Director NVS Reddy, inspected survey works for a new metro corridor connecting Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to the under-construction Skill University at Meerkhanpet. This 40km long corridor will be built as part of the 'Future City' project, envisioned as a green and pollution-free city. The corridor will be built on an elevated line for most of its length, passing through key locations like Shamshabad, Bahadurguda, Pedda Golconda, and Tukkuguda, before transitioning to ground level for the final stretch. The route will feature two attractive stations at Bahadurguda and Pedda Golconda, and will run alongside the proposed Green Field Road, utilizing the existing infrastructure for efficient development. The project aims to connect the airport to the new city and facilitate its development, making it a key component of the Future City vision.08:10 PM Feb 23, 2025 IST
