HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has prepared plans to construct several radial roads to connect the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with the upcoming Regional Ring Road (RRR). HMDA will act as the nodal agency for the project.
First link from ORR Exit 13 to Amangal
Officials said that in the first phase, a 42-km radial road will be built from ORR Exit 13 at Raviryal through several villages to Amangal. The road will pass through Kongara Kalan, Firoz Guda, Lemoor, Thimmapur, Rachaloor, Gummadivelli, Panjaguda, Meerakhanpet, Muccharla, Kurchiryal, Kadthal, Manchala, before reaching Amangal.

Field marking has already started at Shamshabad Huda Colony underpass, and the stretch will extend up to Rakancherla in Vikarabad. This road will connect four mandals and 24 villages in Ranga Reddy and Vikarabad districts.
Authorities said tenders for the second radial road will be invited soon. ORR exits 2, 4, 8, 10, 13, 15 and 17 are being connected under this plan.
Land acquisition planned
Officials confirmed that land acquisition will be undertaken in Shamshabad and Shabad mandals of Ranga Reddy district and in Parigi and Pudur mandals of Vikarabad district. Villages like Kokkonda, Ammapalli, Narkhuda, Sultanpalli, Kawaram, Rayannaguda, Malkaram, Ramapur, Solipet, Hayathnagar, Perpedu, Dasarlapalli, Madhavapalli, Nagarakunta, Bonegiripalli, Komarabanda, Ubbagunta, Bobbiligaon, Parigi, Pudur, Kankal, Masonpalli and Rakancherla fall in the alignment.
Farmers oppose road project
Farmers in Parigi and Vikarabad on Friday passed a resolution opposing the Shamshabad–Parigi radial road. At a round-table meeting held at Rangapur Rythu Vedika, they said the six-lane road would displace several families and cause loss of fertile lands.
They demanded that the government avoid disturbing agricultural lands and instead ensure that RRR does not affect their holdings. Farmers, led by Chevella MLA Yadayya, submitted a representation to Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar seeking intervention.
