Hyderabad’s Amberpet flyover set to open from Maha Shivaratri
The newly constructed Amberpet flyover in Hyderabad, spanning 1.5 km, will be inaugurated on Maha Shivaratri. The project, costing Rs. 338 crore, was spearheaded by Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy, who addressed traffic congestion concerns in the area. The flyover connects Golnaka to Purnodaya Colony, reducing travel time for motorists entering the city from the Warangal Highway. While the land acquisition process delayed construction, the project ultimately involved a total cost of Rs. 450 crore, with Rs. 300 crore dedicated to land acquisition. Construction began in 2018 and faced delays, with the project initially budgeted at Rs. 216 crore and an initial government allocation of Rs. 76.33 crore.09:28 PM Feb 25, 2025 IST
