HYDRAA Commissioner announces comprehensive survey in Ameenpur, Acts on unauthorized hoardings
The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) Commissioner, A.V. Ranganath, announced a comprehensive survey in Ameenpur to address land encroachment issues. The survey will involve the Survey of India, AD Survey Department, Revenue, and HYDRAA Survey teams to clarify the boundaries of the area. This comes after residents reported numerous instances of encroachment on their plots, particularly in Ailapur, Chakrapuri Colony, RTC Colony, and Venkataramana Colony. Residents of Ailapur alleged that a person named Mukhi had been selling their plots to others under their names and threatening them. They accused Mukhi of encroaching on and selling plots that were later declared government property. They also claimed that local officials failed to act on their complaints. Residents in Chakrapuri Colony, RTC Colony, and Venkataramana Colony accused Golden Key Ventures of encroaching on their plots, parks, and roads. Residents of Chakrapuri Colony specifically accused Vijay Krishnam Raju of encroaching on their land and causing difficulties for 400 landowners. HYDRAA Commissioner assured residents that the agency would review court orders related to the legal cases in Ailapur and ensure genuine beneficiaries are identified. He also announced the establishment of a new HYDRAA Police Station and promised action against encroachers. Meanwhile, HYDRAA officials removed unauthorized advertisement unipoles in the city, focusing on hoardings along the Shamshabad Airport route. This action followed a previous meeting with municipal officials where unipoles set up without permits were identified.11:59 AM Feb 08, 2025 IST
