ACB catches Telangana SC Co-Op Development Corporation Official accepting Rs. 1L bribe
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), City Range-2 Unit, Hyderabad, arrested Boppuri Anand Kumar, Executive Director and FAC General Manager of the Telangana Scheduled Castes Co-Operative Development Corporation, on charges of bribery on February 20, 2025.
The officer was caught red-handed at his office at approximately 13:15 hours when he demanded Rs. 1,33,000 and accepted Rs. 1,00,000 from a complainant in exchange for processing a sanctioned bill worth Rs. 33,32,350 and facilitating future payments.
The bribe amount was recovered from Anand Kumar’s possession following his arrest. A chemical test on the officer’s right-hand fingers and a bottle in the top drawer of his office table confirmed the presence of tainted currency. For security reasons, the complainant’s identity has been withheld.
Anand Kumar is currently under arrest and will be presented before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Nampally. The investigation is ongoing.
