The Telangana State Commissioner of Food Safety's Task Force conducted surprise inspections at multiple food establishments in Hyderabad, uncovering serious hygiene and safety violations. Subbayya Gari Hotel: The hotel was found to lack an FSSAI license, had an unhygienic kitchen with broken flooring, clogged drains, and inadequate waste management. Food handlers lacked proper hygiene gear, and the stoves, utensils, and vegetable storage were unclean. Essential documents like water analysis reports, pest control records, and medical fitness certificates were missing. Yashoda Dairy Products: The dairy unit had multiple openings allowing pests to enter, patchy and wet flooring, and stagnant water. Employees handled food with bare hands, and a housefly infestation was noted. Milk powder was stored directly on the ground, and the cold room was unclean. Essential records were also missing. Shri Nath Dairy: This unit had dirty walls, openings without insect-proof mesh, patchy flooring, uncovered drains, and a visible presence of houseflies and cockroaches. Racks in the cold room were rusty, and a rodent infestation was observed. Records for cold room temperature monitoring and food testing were not available.
