The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party in Hyderabad has accused the Congress party of hypocrisy regarding electoral bonds. The BRS alleges that while the Congress is investigating electoral bond donations in Telangana, it itself received a significant sum (Rs. 1,351 crores) from 340 companies nationwide through the same mechanism. The BRS specifically highlighted a Rs. 27 crore donation to Congress by Green Co., pointing out that this donation predates the Formula One event which is currently under investigation. The BRS questioned why the ACB report submitted to the High Court made no mention of Green Co. The BRS leaders also criticized the ACB investigation into KTR, claiming it was a tactic to harass him and divert attention from issues like agriculture and unfulfilled promises to farmers. They emphasized that the ACB should investigate similar donations to the Congress in other states, including those received under the leadership of Mallikarjuna Kharge.
