Festive spirit soars during Sankranti celebrations in Hyderabad

Hyderabad celebrated Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival, with great enthusiasm and religious fervor. Homes were decorated with colorful rangoli patterns and people enjoyed flying kites in open spaces. The festival started with Bhogi celebrations on Monday, where bonfires were lit. Hindu households prepared special delicacies, performed poojas, and enjoyed kite flying competitions. The Hyderabad City Police successfully reduced the availability of harmful Chinese manja by seizing a large quantity of it. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy extended their greetings to the people. The three-day International Kite and Sweet Festival, hosted by the Telangana State Tourism and Culture Department, is currently underway at Secunderabad Parade Ground, featuring participants from 16 countries.
