STF & Excise Police arrest ganja kingpin Angooru Bhai in Dhoolpet

Hyderabad: The Special Task Force (STF) and Excise Police arrested Angooru Bhai, a well-known figure in the illegal ganja trade, in the Karwan area of Dhoolpet on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

Angooru Bhai, known for her involvement in the illegal ganja trade, has been linked to several criminal cases. She is accused in three cases at the Dhoolpet Excise Police Station, four at Mangalhat Police Station, and ten at Asif Nagar and Gouraram Police Stations. Despite numerous attempts by law enforcement to arrest her, she had managed to evade capture for some time.

Previously, Angooru Bhai had been arrested in connection with 13 cases but continued her involvement in illegal activities. Several of her family members are also facing 5 to ten cases in relation to the ganja operation.

Angooru Bhai was a key figure in both the wholesale and retail ganja trade in Dhoolpet, and her arrest is part of an ongoing operation aimed at curbing drug trafficking in the area.

Excise Enforcement Director V.B. Kamalasan Reddy commended the STF and Excise Police for their diligence and success in capturing the notorious ganja dealer.
