Habeas Corpus Petition: Telangana HC orders probe into disappearance of missing couple in Jagadgiri Gutta

The Telangana High Court has ordered an investigation into the disappearance of Chandan Misra and his wife, Rapaka Swathy, who were allegedly taken from their home in Srinivasa Colony, Jagadgiri Gutta, on January 24, 2025. The court expressed concern over the lack of information about the couple's whereabouts and the absence of any official acknowledgment of their detention. The court directed the DGP to locate the couple, verify Chandan Misra's alleged involvement in a 2018 criminal case, and ensure the safety of the eyewitness. The court will hear the case again on January 27, 2025.
