Secunderabad lineman returns Rs. 2 lakhs lost by motorist
Secunderabad: A lineman working with Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL), returned a bag containing Rs. 2 lakhs that was accidentally dropped by a motorist in Lallaguda, Secunderabad, on Monday, November 18, 2024.
The lineman, identified as Muddam Satish Yadav, was walking near the Ayyappa temple in Lallaguda when a two-wheeler sped past him, causing a cover to fall from the vehicle. Despite his attempts to alert the rider by shouting, the motorist did not notice and continued on.
Upon inspecting the torn cover, Satish discovered it contained Rs. 2 lakhs, a huge amount of money.
Immediately, Satish reached out to local Congress leader Kishore Yadav. Together, they went to the Lallaguda police station, handed over the money, and explained the incident.
The Lallaguda police expressed their gratitude for Satish's honesty and commended his integrity in returning the lost money.
