Excise Enforcement seizes Rs. 15.9 Lakh worth of jaggery in Hyderabad
Hyderabad Excise Enforcement teams busted a gang smuggling jaggery and ginger, allegedly for illicit liquor production, in Pahadi Shareef. The operation, led by Assistant Commissioner R Kishan, resulted in the seizure of goods worth Rs 15.90 lakh, including jaggery, vehicles, and cash. Four individuals were arrested while two others are absconding. The seized goods were being transported to Devarakonda Neruduguda for use in illicit liquor production. The arrested individuals confessed to sourcing jaggery from Karnataka and storing it in Pahadi Shareef for illegal sale. Director of Excise Enforcement V.B.
