Hyderabad: Task force raids mandi restaurant in Sainikpuri, flags hygiene violations
A food safety inspection in Hyderabad found numerous violations at The Arabian Mandi restaurant. The restaurant lacked a proper FSSAI license, used raw eggs to make mayonnaise (against Telangana's ban), used synthetic food coloring, and stored marinated chicken in unhygienic conditions for over a week. Cockroaches were found in the refrigerator, kitchen, and food preparation areas. Other violations included reusing cooking oil, poor hygiene, and lack of pest control certification, medical records, and FoSTaC documents. As a result, the task force has taken action against the restaurant based on the Food Safety and Standards (FSS) Act 2006.11:33 AM Feb 23, 2025 IST
