Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts witnessed a series of tragic accidents in recent days, highlighting the dangers of reckless driving. On February 19, 2025, two tech professionals sustained serious injuries after their car crashed into a stationary truck in Kokapet. Police suspect the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol. In another incident on the same day, two students were critically injured when their car collided with an advertising pillar in Gandipet, likely due to overspeeding. In a separate incident, a 24-year-old man, Mahesh Kumar, tragically lost his life on his birthday after his scooter crashed into an electric pole in Malakpet. Police suspect excessive speed contributed to the accident. In Ranga Reddy, a student named Satwik died and his companion was seriously injured when their motorcycle collided with a divider on the Kokapet Service Road on December 28, 2024. Overspeeding is believed to be the cause. Just a day before, on December 27, two men, Raghu Babu and Akansh, died in a similar accident in Madhapur after their motorcycle crashed into a divider, possibly due to alcohol consumption.
