Narayanaguda police crack Rs 3 crore burglary case in 24 hours, arrest three
A gang of three criminals from Bihar, led by Molhu Mukhiya alias Manoj Mukhiya, broke into the Hyderabad home of Rohit Kedia while he was attending his daughter's wedding in Dubai. They stole gold, diamonds, and cash worth over Rs 3 crore. Hyderabad police, acting on a complaint from Kedia's employee Abhay Kedia, tracked down the suspects within 24 hours and apprehended them at Nampally Railway Station just before they boarded a train to Delhi. The police investigation revealed that the gang had a history of targeting wealthy Marwadi/Jain community members, often posing as domestic help to gain their trust. They had previously been involved in a murder for gain case in January 2024, where they killed an elderly woman and stole Rs 1 crore. The police recovered a significant portion of the stolen loot, including diamond jewelry, gold jewelry, and cash, from the suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are still searching for the remaining stolen items from both the recent heist and the 2024 murder case.06:38 PM Feb 13, 2025 IST
