Young law student found dead in Malakpet office

Malakpet: A young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in an office room at Moosarambagh, Malakpet, on Monday, November 25, 2024.

The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Islavath Shravya, a law student who worked at the front office of a firm. She was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in the office hall.

After noticing the incident, office staff alerted Malakpet police, who arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Her body was sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Tensions rose at the police station as Shravya's family and relatives gathered, protesting the alleged suicide and demanding a thorough investigation. They claim that Shravya would not have ended her own life.

Police, while suspecting suicide, have assured the family of a comprehensive investigation into all possible angles. Further investigations and evidence will determine the exact cause of death.
