Two women caught with exotic venomous snakes in luggage at Shamshabad Airport
Hyderabad: The customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, arrested two women on Sunday night, November 24, 2024, after they were found carrying exotic and venomous snakes in their luggage. The women, who arrived in Hyderabad on a flight from Bangkok, had the snakes hidden in a separate basket.
During a routine inspection, customs officials discovered the serpents, which were immediately seized and rescued.
The two women were detained for questioning, and authorities are investigating whether they acted alone or were following instructions from others. The investigation is ongoing.
