On Wednesday, Rahul met NIMS director Dr Nagari Beerappa and thanked him and the team of doctors for their support. Recently, Rahul had also called on chief minister Revanth Reddy to express gratitude for the assistance.

The prosthetics, worth ₹10 lakh, were provided free of cost under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. “Rahul will now be able to continue his education and lead a normal life,” Dr Beerappa said.

Orthopaedic surgeons Chandrasekhar, Asif, Lalit and Sandeep, who performed the surgery and supervised the rehabilitation, were felicitated during the event.
