Viral video captures drunken driver hitting man in Kondapur

Hyderabad: A man, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, caused a ruckus in Kondapur on the night of January 20, 2025, after hitting a scooter rider with his Mercedes-Benz and fleeing the scene was caught on camera.

The incident occurred late at night when the intoxicated man struck the scooter and left the victim on the road. Eyewitnesses, along with viral videos circulating on social media, highlighted the severity of the situation, raising concerns about law and order in the city. Several motorists expressed their frustration over the lack of timely police intervention, questioning the response to such incidents in a metropolis like Hyderabad.

According to the reports, and in an unexpected twist, the driver returned to the scene in a Hyundai Creta and reportedly hit the scooter rider again in a fit of rage. The man allegedly claimed that the scooter had damaged his Mercedes car, which led to the second attack. Hyderabad Police took notice of the incident and alerted Cyberabad Police.
