Janwada farmhouse raid: Who is Vijay Madduri? CEO of a tech firm who tested positive for cocaine
Hyderabad: During a Telangana police raid at a house party hosted by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KTR's brother-in-law Raj Pakala on Saturday night, one guest tested positive for cocaine. During the raid, the police officials tested the guests with drug kits, and Vijay Madduri tested positive for cocaine.
An FIR registered by Mokila police station shows Vijay Madduri tested positive for cocaine during the police raid on the intervening night of October 26 and 27 at Janwada. He was taken to a hospital for a blood test, and later, a case under Section 27 of the NDPS Act was registered against him.
Vijay Madduri is a 56-year-old entrepreneur. He is the CEO of ETG Software Company, founded by Raj Pakala at Nanakramguda in Hyderabad. The police have named Pakala as an accused number 1 (A1) in the case.
According to the police investigation, Vijay is also the acting CEO of FUSION AIX Software Company. Both Raj Pakala and Vijay Madduri would often attend weekend parties, consume drugs, and gamble using poker coins.
As Raj is friends with Vijay and they have known each other for about five years, Raj had invited Vijay to the Diwali party at his new house constructed at Janwada. The police added Vijay disclosed that Pakala had asked him to attend the party and encouraged him to consume cocaine.
Acting on specific intelligence, the Narsingi police, in coordination with Cyberabad’s Special Operations Team (SOT) and Excise department officials, raided a farmhouse owned by Raj Pakala in Janwada on Saturday night.
As many as 21 males and 14 females were found at the party where foreign liquor was served to guests without obtaining any permission from the public excise department. During the raid, officials discovered seven unauthorized foreign liquor and 10 Indian liquor bottles. Cyberabad police booked Raja Pakala for the possession of excess alcohol.
