HYDERABAD: Actor Vijay Deverakonda and actress Rashmika Mandanna got engaged in a private ceremony on Friday.

The engagement was held at Deverakonda’s residence in Hyderabad around 11 am, with only close family members and friends present. The two have long been rumoured to be in a relationship, though neither ever confirmed it. They were often spotted together at airports while travelling abroad and seen dining at restaurants. Their photos frequently went viral online.

In the past, reports about their engagement had surfaced but turned out to be rumours. On Friday, however, the couple formalised their relationship quietly without fanfare.

Wedding likely to be a destination event in February 2026

According to sources, the wedding will be a destination ceremony planned for the end of February 2026. Deverakonda and Mandanna first starred together in Geetha Govindam (2018), which was a major box office hit. They later reunited in Dear Comrade (2019). Since then, both have been busy with their individual film projects.
