Verbal clash erupts between BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy & Dr. Sanjay in Karimnagar review meet
Hyderabad: A review meeting in the erstwhile Karimnagar district on Sunday, January 12, 2025, witnessed a heated exchange between BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy and Jagitial MLA Dr. Sanjay over the latter’s political affiliation.
The verbal confrontation escalated when Kaushik Reddy allegedly used abusive language against Dr. Sanjay. The situation became tense, and the police had to intervene, escorting Kaushik Reddy out of the meeting. Despite their efforts, the situation was not immediately controlled, and only after a prolonged struggle were the police able to remove him.
After his exit, Kaushik Reddy spoke to the media, accusing the state government of failing to fulfill its promises to farmers, particularly concerning the Rythu Bharosa scheme. He stated, “In Karimnagar, at least Rs. 15,000 should be provided under the Rythu Bharosa program. Over the last two seasons, nothing has been given.” Padi Kaushik Reddy also demanded that the remaining 50 percent of loan waivers be granted.
Kaushik Reddy also criticized Dr. Sanjay for allegedly shifting allegiances, stating, “I stand with KCR and the farmers. Why this chaos? If Dr. Sanjay is switching parties, I challenge him to resign and contest in the elections. Let him stand against Congress and prove himself.”
Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Sridhar Babu, and Uttam Kumar Reddy were present at the meeting.
