Hyderabad: Vanguard, one of the world’s leading investment management companies, has announced plans to establish its first Global Capability Center (GCC) in India, located in Hyderabad. This decision follows discussions with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Vanguard, which manages assets worth approximately $10 trillion and serves over 50 million investors globally, will officially open its Hyderabad office later this year. The company aims to hire 2,300 employees over the next four years.

A senior delegation from Vanguard, led by CEO Salim Ramji, Chief Investment Officer and MD of IT Division Nitin Tandon, Chief Human Resources Officer John Couture, and Principal and Head of GCC – Vanguard India, Venkatesh Natarajan, met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and senior Telangana government officials, including Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari.

The company has expressed its intent to immediately hire engineers specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Data & Analytics, and Mobile Engineering at the Hyderabad facility. “We’re excited to add talent focusing on AI, mobile, and cloud-based technologies that will enhance our business outcomes and improve the client experience. Hyderabad is an ideal choice due to its diverse talent pool, high quality of living, tech ecosystem, and the state’s supportive policies,” said Vanguard CEO Salim Ramji.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed Vanguard’s move, stating, “We are delighted to have Vanguard join the TelanganaRising vision. Their decision will strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a global GCC hub.”
