Vande Bharat between Kacheguda and Yesvantpur to run with 16 coaches from July 10
Hyderabad: The Kacheguda–Yesvantpur–Kacheguda Vande Bharat Express will operate with 16 coaches from July 10, 2025, significantly increasing its passenger capacity. The train was launched on September 24, 2023, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through virtual mode and has since seen strong demand with over 100% occupancy.
Currently, the train operates with eight coaches, including one Executive Class and seven Chair Cars, accommodating 530 passengers. In response to the consistently high patronage, Indian Railways has decided to double the train’s capacity. From July 10, the revised composition will include 14 Chair Cars and two Executive Class coaches, raising the total seating capacity to 1,128 passengers. The Chair Cars will accommodate 1,024 passengers and the Executive Class will seat 104.
Sandeep Mathur, General Manager of South Central Railway, stated that the decision to increase coach capacity will allow more passengers to travel comfortably between the key IT cities of Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Train numbers 20703 and 20704 will both adopt the revised 16-coach configuration starting from July 10, 2025.
