Sailesh Mahadevan, a local resident, took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to bring attention to the issue, posting, “Urgent repair needed at the 'Y' Junction (OU campus to Tarnaka). The broken road island is dangerous for commuters and blocks smooth left turns. Please fix it for public safety. Thank you.”

Responding to the concern, the official handle of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) acknowledged the issue, stating, "Dear citizen, the area AE (Engineering) is informed to inspect the site and attend and update the status. @EE_Secunderabad, @DC_Secunderabad."

Another citizen, identified as gnany (@valkala), shared a personal account of the danger at the junction. He mentioned, “The turn from OU to Adikmet Road is dangerous due to the damaged surface. Two months ago, I saw a motorcyclist and his family fall as a car turned left, leaving them no room to maneuver. Thankfully, they weren’t hurt, but why has this problem been ignored for so long?”

In response to the delay in repairs, Sailesh Mahadevan posted again, saying, “It’s been almost 10 days, and no action has been taken.”

Residents and commuters are urging the authorities to expedite repairs at this critical junction to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians alike.
