Trio held for selling ganja in car in Shaikpet; Rs. 1.8L worth of drugs seized
Hyderabad: The Telangana Excise Special Task Force (STF) on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, arrested three individuals for selling ganja from a car in the Shaikpet and Toli Chowki areas.
Acting on a tip-off about the sale of ganja in cars in these areas, which fall under the Golconda Excise Police jurisdiction, the STF carried out a raid early Tuesday morning. The operation was led by STF officer Chandrasekhar Goud.
During the raid, a man and a young woman were found sitting in a parked car. Another suspect, riding a scooter, was caught handing over a packet of ganja to the individuals in the vehicle.
Upon searching the car, the STF recovered a total of 2.7 kg of ganja, 11 grams of MDMA, and three packets of LSD. The total value of the seized drugs is estimated to be Rs. 1,84,500. In addition to the drugs, the police seized a car and a scooter, with a combined estimated value of Rs. 6,00,000.
The arrested individuals have been identified as P. Sai Babu, Y. Venkatreddy, and Sonia Elisha alias Priyanka. They were involved in the illegal sale of ganja, MDMA, and LSD. The trio has been handed over to the Golconda Excise Police for further investigation and legal action.
