Hyderabad: A video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) has highlighted an issue concerning the lack of proper public transport infrastructure in Hyderabad's HITEC City. The footage shows leading software engineers in the area taking shortcuts near Ayyappa Society, Madhapur, to avoid traffic jams. Additionally, the video points out that these areas have no proper road infrastructure.

A user posted the video, HITEC City Employees (@pavan23393795), who stated, “Lack of public transportation @ltmhyd @TGSRTCHQ. Traffic jams. Not electing leaders for development, leading HiTech software engineers to find these kinds of routes to reach the office on time.” The post also tagged the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) in an effort to alert officials about the situation.

Several users shared their views in the comments. Utkarsh Sinha expressed his frustration, saying, “They should be fined heavily. @CYBTRAFFIC.” Kiran Kumar (@akiran123) added, “When main roads are there, why do they need to take these shortcuts? If everyone follows traffic rules, even if it’s slow, the traffic keeps moving, and everyone can reach their destinations. But our so-called ‘brainless’ software engineers are impatient and need everything instantly.”

Sai Kumar commented, “It is a shortcut route to avoid traffic at Yashdda Hospital Junction to the HiTech City flyover.”

Cyberabad Residence (@CyberabadResid1) tagged BRS working president KTR and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, stating, “Beside tall buildings in #Cyberabad, this is the real life of Cyberabad residents. Most residential colonies have no roads.”

Sandeep (@sandeep_Vishu) added, “People are posting videos of HiTech City’s tall buildings in Hyderabad. This is the same HiTech City. See the infrastructure.”

The video and the comments underline growing concerns about the city's traffic situation and infrastructure, especially in and around the tech hub of HiTech City. They call for immediate improvements in public transportation and road development.
