Traffic diversions in Hyderabad: BHEL Junction work causes route changes on March 7-8

Hyderabad will experience traffic diversions on March 7th and 8th, 2025, due to the ongoing work at the BHEL junction and the commissioning of the Phase-II 1500 mm PSC pipeline. The diversions are necessary to facilitate the pipeline shifting and minimize disruption to commuters. A 48-hour shutdown of the MWSS Phase-II Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and the 1500 mm diameter PSC pumping main will impact traffic flow. The Cyberabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory outlining the diversion routes, which include: Patancheruvu to Chandanagar: Use the New BHEL flyover. Patancheruvu to Lingampally-Nallagandla: Use the service road at the BHEL flyover, CMR Shopping Mall, underpass, and then turn right. Lingampally to Chandanagar: Go via BHEL Circle, Zaheerabad Bus Stop, Ashoknagar U-turn, BHEL flyover, and Chandanagar. Ameenpur to Chandanagar: Take the Sridevi Theatre route, turning right at BHEL X Road. Commuters are urged to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the traffic police to minimize congestion.
