Khairatabad : Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued an advisory for diversions around Khairatabad Bada Ganesh installation, effective daily from August 27 to September 6. The restrictions will be in place from 11 AM till late night, depending on the flow of devotees.
Diversions Around Khairatabad
Traffic from VV Statue towards Mint Compound via Rajeev Gandhi Statue will be diverted at Rajeev Gandhi Statue towards Nirankari Junction. Vehicles from Old PS Saifabad towards Bada Ganesh through Rajdoot lane will be diverted at Rajdoot lane towards Iqbal Minar. Traffic from Iqbal Minar towards IMAX via Mint Compound will be diverted at Secretariat Temple X Road towards Telugu Thalli junction.
Vehicles from Necklace Rotary towards Mint Compound will be diverted either towards Telugu Thalli junction or Khairatabad flyover. Traffic from Nirankari through Khairatabad Post Office lane towards Khairatabad Railway gate will be diverted at the Post Office towards Old PS Saifabad junction.
Traffic congestion is expected at Khairatabad, Shadan College, Nirankari, Old PS Saifabad, Mint Compound and Necklace Rotary junctions. Commuters are advised to avoid these stretches.
Parking Arrangements and Public Transport
Visitors arriving through Necklace Rotary and NTR Garden can park at Race Road, NTR Ghat, HMDA Parking beside IMAX, the open place opposite IMAX, and Saraswathi Vidya Mandir School premises near IMAX. Those coming via Khairatabad junction should use Vishveshwaraiah Bhavan parking.
Commuters are advised to prefer Metro, MMTS and RTC buses. Residents from the same locality are encouraged to carpool to ease congestion. In case of emergency, traffic helpline 9010203626 can be contacted.
Hyderabad Traffic Police requested all commuters to follow the advisory and cooperate for smooth traffic management.
