Hyderabad: Spell of heavy rain throws traffic out of gear
Hyderabad: Moderate to heavy rainfall lashed parts of Hyderabad on Tuesday morning. Madhapur, Ayyappa Society, Hi-tech city, Moti Nagar, SR Nagar, Erragadda, Ameerpet, Panjagutta, Khairatabad, Secunderabad and other areas witnessed unexpected showers which resulted in waterlogging on roads.
Vehicular traffic disrupted due to severe waterlogging in these areas. The civic body staff were seen clearing the flood water and helping the motorists navigate the water-filled roads.
Traffic came to a halt near Mallampet Ratnadeep due to a huge pothole in the road. The water-filled pothole is causing inconvenience to motorists and other road users.
Meanwhile, Telangana weather department has predicted light to moderate rains in the state for the next five days. According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Center, low pressure is continuing in the Bay of Bengal. If it becomes stronger, rains will lash parts of Telugu state for the next five days.
