Traffic advisory: Hyderabad braces for Mahankali Bonalu celebrations
Hyderabad: In view of Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Golconda Bonalu Celebrations-2025, a large number of devotees are expected take part in the celebrations from all over the city of Hyderabad and surrounding districts on the following dates during the period from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
1st Pooja on 26-06-2025 2nd Pooja on 29-06-2025
3rd Pooja on 03-07-2025 4th Pooja on 06-07-2025
5th Pooja on 10-07-2025 6th Pooja on 13-07-2025
7th Pooja on 17-07-2025 8th Pooja on 20-07-2025
9th Pooja on 24-07-2025
Hence, heavy traffic congestion is expected on the following routes leading to Golconda Fort.
- Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort (via) Makkai Darwaza.
- Langar Houz to Golconda Fort (via) Fateh Darwaza.
- Shaikpet Nala and Seven Tombs to Golconda Fort (via) Banjara Darwaza.
In view of the above, the commuters are advised to avoid these routes and take alternative routes to avoid inconvenience on the above mentioned dates during the period from 8 AM to 11 PM.
The following are the parking arrangements made for the convenience of devotees taking part in Bonalu celebrations at Golconda Fort:
The Devotees coming from Ramdevguda side towards Golconda Fort via Makkai Darwaza are requested to park their vehicles at 1) Ashoor Khana to Army Sentry Post (2 Wheelers), 2) Artillary Centre, Ramdevguda (4 Wheelers), and 3) Ashoorkhana, Golconda (4 Wheelers) and reach Golconda Fort by walk. Setwin Buses will be allowed till Ashoor Khana parking only.
The devotees coming from Langar Houz towards Golconda Fort Via Fateh darwaza are requested to park their vehicles at 1) MCH Park, Fateh Darwaza (2 Wheelers), 2) Golconda Bus Stop (2 Wheelers), 3) Area Hsopital Golconda (4 Wheelers), 4) Alhira School, Golconda (2 Wheelers) and reach Golconda Fort by walk.
The devotees coming from Shaikpet towards Golconda Fort Via Banjara Darwaja are requested to park their vehicles at 1) Hockey Ground, Golconda (4 Wheelers), 2) Owaisi Ground, Golconda (4 Wheelers), 3) Golf Club Road by lane (2 Wheelers) and 4) Deccan Park, 7 Tombs (4 Wheelers) and reach Golconda Fort by walk.
The devotees are requested to park their vehicles at the designated parking places only in an orderly manner. The commuters are requested to take alternative routes to reach their destinations to avoid traffic congestion.
