TOA files complaint over alleged tampering of office bearers’ names

Hyderabad: The Telangana Olympic Association (TOA) has filed a complaint with the Saifabad police against a few individuals for allegedly tampering with the names of TOA office bearers in the official portal.

C Babu Rao, Shivshankar Agnigotri, Venkatesh (computer operator) and their associates have been accused of deleting the names of the elected principal office bearers of the Telangana Olympic Association in the online portal.

In the complaint filed, the TOA representatives said the above individuals are in no way related to any sports association in the State and yet they have unlawfully replaced the office bearers’ names with their own names.

This caused immense disrespect to the dignitaries of TOA on arrival at the airport and venue of 38th National Games, resulting in hindrance for the smooth conduct of the event and coordination for the athletes of the State, it said.

It is pertinent to note that names of the TOA dignitaries were registered in the online portal of 38th National Games to be held in Uttarakhand.

The complaint noted that certain individuals within the office of the State Sports Authorities may also be complicit in this act, enabling or facilitating the fraudulent changes in the records.

The TOA representatives also stated that the deceitful act has misled the State Sports Authorities and the National Games Secretariat, causing harm to the integrity and functioning of the sports organization, as well as to the rightful office bearers. Their actions amount to forgery, cheating and breach of trust, which warrant immediate investigation and action under the relevant sections of the law.

Meanwhile, the Saifabad police have registered a case and the investigation is underway.
