Hyderabad: A concerned citizen from Hyderabad has highlighted two critical issues affecting commuters near the Lakdikapul Metro Station in the Saifabad area. The citizen raised alarms about a dangerously tilting pole that could potentially fall on pedestrians and vehicles, as well as the obstruction of a nearby pedestrian walkway by street vendors and an unused traffic room. The issues were brought to attention through a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), where the TG citizen urged authorities to take immediate action.

The post, addressed to the Saifabad Station House Officer (@shotr_saifabad), reads, "Sir, these tilting poles & the traffic room are still on the pedestrian walk. Any tentative timeline to remove them in coordination with @CommissionrGHMC @GHMCOnline @ZC_Khairatabad @PrlsecyMAUD @CVAnandIPS @HYDTP @hydcitypolice?”

Speaking with the Hyderabad Mail, the TG Citizen, who chose to remain anonymous, expressed frustration over the misuse of public infrastructure. "Public money is being spent to build pedestrian walks, but they are being misused by vendors, hawkers, and even government departments. The newly built pedestrian walk by GHMC is supposed to benefit citizens, but instead, it is blocked," the TG Citizen said.

The TG Citizen urged the authorities to take swift action to clear the blocked walkway and address the safety hazard posed by the tilting pole.
