Asia Cup hero Tilak Varma honoured by Telangana CM
HYDERABAD: Young Indian cricketer Tilak Varma paid a courtesy call on chief minister A Revanth Reddy on September 30, following India’s victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final.
Revanth Reddy felicitated Varma at the meeting and lauded his contribution in securing India’s win in the high-voltage final against Pakistan. The chief minister said the youngster’s performance reflected the strength of emerging cricketing talent in the country.
Varma gifts cricket bat to Revanth Reddy
During the interaction, Tilak Varma presented a cricket bat to the chief minister as a token of respect. The meeting was attended by minister Vakati Srihari, Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) chairman Shivsena Reddy, SATS managing director Sonibala Devi, principal secretary to the chief minister Srinivasa Raju, Khairatabad District Congress Committee president Rohin Reddy, and other officials.
