Three killed, one injured as hotel wall collapses in LB Nagar, Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A tragic incident occurred in LB Nagar, Hyderabad, on February 5, 2025, when a wall of the Sitara Hotel collapsed during cellar excavation work. Three workers were killed on the spot, and one other was injured.
The workers, identified as laborers from Bihar, were trapped under rubble when soil debris fell from above. The fire department and local police were called to the scene to rescue the victims, with one body recovered from the debris. The injured worker was taken to Kamineni Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation, and further details are awaited.
In a separate incident, two children were killed and two others injured when a wall collapsed in Mailardevpally, under Rajendra Nagar Circle of Rangareddy district, on June 2, 2024. The collapse occurred amid heavy rainfall.
The deceased have been identified as Nurjan Noor Jahaan, 8, and Asif Parveen, 3. Four children were reportedly playing near the wall when it collapsed due to the pressure of the rain.
Police rushed to the scene, and the injured were taken to Osmania General Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered.
