TGPSC Group 2 exams begin in Telangana today
TGPSC Group 2 Exam 2024: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Group-2 examinations began on Sunday morning. TGPSC has made elaborate arrangements for examinations being held on December 15 and 16.
As many as 551,943 candidates are appearing for the exams at 1,368 examination centres across Telangana. The recruitment exams are being conducted in two sessions - Paper 1 and Paper 3 in the morning session from 10 am to 12.30 pm and Paper 2 and Paper 4 will be held in the evening session from 3 pm to 5.30 pm.
The morning session will cover General Studies and General Abilities while the second session will have question papers from History, Polity, and Society subjects. The question papers in the two sessions on December 16, Monday will cover these subjects - Economy and Development and Telangana Movement and State Formation.

The recruitment drive will fill up 783 posts of Group-II Services and some of the posts offered under it include municipal commissioner, assistant commercial tax officer, sub registrar grade 2, assistant registrar, assistant development officer, assistant section officer, and district probation officer grade 2.
Earlier, the High Court refused to stay the exams after the aspirants requested a postponement stating a clash in exam schedules. The petitioners said the overlap in scheduled dates would prevent them from appearing for Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) exams for 7,951 posts between December 16 and 18.
