TGBIE cancels grace time, inter students should reach exam venue by 8.45 am
Hyderabad: As students prepare for the intermediate public examinations (IPE) 2025 scheduled to begin from March 5, 2025, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has announced that students must arrive at the examination centres by 8.45 am.
The authorities said no grace time will be allotted to late comers and those students will be prevented from entering the exam halls. As per the schedule, the Intermediate Public Examinations will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon.
“Candidates should occupy the seats allotted to them in the examination hall by 8.30 am. Candidates reporting after 8.45 am will not be allowed into the examination halls,” said the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education.
Earlier, the students could enter the exam centres till 9 am. Last year, the authorities relaxed this norm further and allotted five minutes of grace time to the students owing to the transportation issues.
Starting this year, the hall tickets will feature a Quick Response (QR) code to help students in finding their examination centres easily.
Nearly, 9.96 lakh students will appear for the exams across 1,532 exam centers in Telangana. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the Intermediate exams which will be held from March 5 to March 25, 2025.
CCTV cameras have been installed at all examination centers in the state. These cameras have been integrated with the Command Control Centre at the Board of Intermediate office. The students at the exam centre can avail ORS packets and other medical aid, if needed.
To ensure the smooth and fair examinations, the state government has directed the police department to close down xerox or photocopy centres during examinations while enforcing 144 around exam centers.
