Tellapur residents voice concern over unrestricted movement of heavy vehicles on RR30 Extension road
Hyderabad: Residents of Tellapur satellite town have expressed concern over the unrestricted movement of heavy vehicles on the RR30 Extension Road. The management of Tellapur Neighborhood Association has submitted a representation to the Station House Officer of Kollur Police Station on Tuesday.
Highlighting the dangers of unchecked plying of heavy vehicles in the area, the residents said the movement of heavy vehicles has significantly damaged the RR30 Extension road. The damaged road conditions are now creating severe challenges for other vehicles, including school buses, impacting the safety and well-being of road users.
Due to the unrestricted movement and heavy weight of these vehicles, road conditions are worsening. This has not only resulted in vehicle damage for local residents but also poses risks to them due to trucks' high speed. This situation has left citizens vulnerable and made daily transportation unsafe for them, the representation stated.
The local residents have requested that the administration consider implementing restrictions on the movement of heavy trucks on RR30 Extension Road or imposing a complete ban on their use.
