Hyderabad: The Tellapur Neighbourhood Association (TeNA), located in Tellapur village, Ramchandrapuram mandal, Sangareddy, has raised serious concerns over persistent power cuts and delays in completing the Tellapur electrical substation. The group has appealed for urgent government intervention to address what they describe as an ongoing hardship for residents.

Ramana Eshwaragari, speaking on behalf of the association, said residents are struggling with frequent and extended power outages, along with routine low voltage issues. "Despite rapid urban growth, the power infrastructure remains inadequate. Daily power cuts and voltage fluctuations are damaging household appliances and placing a financial strain on families," he said.

According to TeNA, land for the substation was sanctioned more than three years ago. However, construction progress has stalled, especially in the past year. Ramana Eshwaragari stated that the delay has left the community without a stable power supply, affecting everyday life, particularly during peak summer months.

The Tellapur Neighbourhood Association (TeNA) has called for immediate steps to complete the substation and resolve the area's chronic power issues. "We request urgent intervention to ensure the substation is completed without further delay," Ramana Eshwaragari added.

The association also voiced its frustration on social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), posting, “@revanth_anumula @battivikramarka @tsspdcl @Collector_SRD Tragic but true, Tellapur residents suffer daily power cuts with no clarity on substation. We’re stuck in a 1900s lifestyle: no power, no roads, no drainage, no water. Yet the government collects heavy taxes like it’s a luxury zone.”

Residents are now awaiting a response from authorities and hope for swift action to restore essential infrastructure in the growing Tellapur locality.
