Tellapur residents gather for Karthika Vana Bhojanaalu to strengthen community bonds
Tellapur: The Tellapur Neighborhood Association (TeNA) organised a Karthika Vana Bhojanaalu at a mango garden near Kollur to celebrate Karthika Masam on December 1, 2024. Over 1,000 residents from various communities gathered to share a meal in a natural setting, strengthening social bonds.
The celebrations began with a Sri Lakshmi Narayana Puja and Tulasi Puja under an Amla (Usiri) tree, followed by a traditional Gau (cow) Puja. Couples from different communities participated in these rituals. The event also featured bhajans and kirtans, and games for children were organised to keep them entertained.
TeNA president Eswaragari Ramana noted that the residents of Tellapur were able to enjoy the day under the shade of greenery, embracing the spirit of togetherness during the Karthika Masam celebration. TeNA invited residents from around 50 communities in the Tellapur area to participate in the event, aiming to deepen their spiritual connection with nature.
