KTR accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of intentionally not celebrating Ambedkar's death anniversary and failing to garland the world's largest Ambedkar statue. He questioned the government's motives, suggesting the statue's lack of maintenance was politically motivated.

The BRS leader alleged the current government abandoned Dalit welfare initiatives. “We gave Dalit Bandhu and you assured Ambedkar Abhayahastham. Where are they?” He highlighted that the previous government had sent Dalit, tribal, and Bahujan students abroad for higher education. The Current government has stopped overseas scholarships. “Through the Ambedkar overseas scholarship, we have sent over 7000 students abroad. The first installment has been given during BRS government and the second is pending. Telangana students are facing issues as the second installment is still pending. Why hasn’t the government released the second installment yet?” questioned KTR.

BRS leader alleges neglect of Gurukul Institutions and Dalit Students’ Welfare

KTR criticized the government’s actions towards educational institutions like Gurukul and filed cases against leaders like RS Praveen Kumar. “In the state, around 1000 Gurukulas - 48 children - were dead. We took them to Everest, now you are taking them to their deathbed,” criticized KTR.

The BRS leader raised concerns about the proposed changes to the Telangana Thalli statue, claiming the current government is attempting to alter historical representations. “Why was there a necessity to change the statue of Telangana Thalli? You should answer to the Telangana people. If the government changes, should logos, number plates and statues changed?” He challenged Revanth Reddy’s intention to modify the statue, comparing it to how previous governments maintained statues of national figures.

The BRS leader concluded by reiterating, “We will come to power after four years. We will install the Telangana Thalli statue where it was initially planned, between the Martyrs’ Stupa and Ambedkar Secretariat.”
