Telangana student shot dead in US

Hyderabad: A 27-year-old Indian student from Hyderabad was shot dead by assailants in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the US.

The deceased has been identified as Praveen from Keshampet mandal of Rangareddy district. The Telangana student was reportedly shot dead by some unknown individuals at a beach near his residence.

He went to the USA to pursue a Master’s degree from a university in Milwaukee. Praveen, son of Raghavulu and Rama Devi, was a second year student at the private university. After his studies, he was working as a part-timer at a star hotel.

The family received information about his death from Praveen’s friends who called to inform them about the tragic incident.

In January, a 26-year-old student, identified as K Ravi Teja, from Hyderabad was shot dead in the US by unidentified persons. After completing his MS degree, Teja was looking for a job in Connecticut.

He went to the US in 2022 to pursue higher studies after doing an engineering degree from a private college in the city. He was also doing a part-time job to support his stay in the US.

In September 2024, a Telugu student from Khammam died after he was shot at by assailants at a store in Chicago in the US. He was a student at Concordia University in Chicago.

The deceased student, identified as Sai Teja Nukarapu, succumbed to bullet injuries. According to his family, the assailants robbed the store where Teja was working as a cashier by pointing a gun at him and killed him.
